Now Accepting Work Orders for Larvicide Treatments

Ada County Mosquito Abatement District (ACMAD) is now accepting work orders for larvicide treatments. Larvicide treatments are the backbone of mosquito control in Ada County, as they use a bacterium found in soil (Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis, or Bti) to kill mosquitoes before they grow into biting adults that can transmit disease. ACMAD has mapped and treats over 50,000 standing water sites with Bti throughout the county to help protect people from West Nile virus.

Fill out the “Larvicide Service Request Form” if you would like to have ACMAD look at a potential mosquito breeding habitat near your property for a larvicide treatment.
