Idaho Star Card
Beginning May 7, 2025, you will need to have a license or Identification (ID) card with the Star or another accepted form of identification, such as a passport, to fly commercially within the United States or access a federal facility, national laboratory, or military base.
Check out this step-by-step list on how to get a Star Card. Here is the documents checklist needed for applying or renewing your driver’s license/Star Card. (The short version is you need documents to prove who you are, including what your legal name is; you social security number; and proof of Idaho residency).
The Star Card, with your Idaho Driver’s License renewal, doesn’t cost any more than a regular Idaho Driver’s License and will allow you access to more places, so we encourage everyone to get a Star Card when it’s time to renew.
