Commissioners to Deliberate Library Dissolution Petition

The board will meet Wednesday March 29, 2023 at 10:30 AM in the Commissioner’s Hearing Room, 200 W. Front Street, Boise, Idaho 83702 to deliberate on what will happen next. There will be no public testimony. You can watch the deliberations live on Ada County’s YouTube.

The Ada County Commissioners thank everyone who attended the March 20th and March 22nd public hearings on the petition to dissolve the Meridian Library District. More than seven hundred people came to the courthouse to listen or provide testimony during the two public hearings. The presentations were generally tactful and considerate and the public was able to listen to various viewpoints in a professional manner. Thank you also to the hundreds of residents who emailed the board and shared their thoughts and concerns.

There are only two decisions the board can make – to put the issue on the November ballot, or not to put the issue on the November ballot. We encourage you to watch the March 29th proceedings on the Ada County YouTube.
