Assessor’s Office appraisal staff will soon be starting their annual reappraisal. State law requires every parcel in the county be physically re-inspected once every five years, and your property could be within an area up for reappraisal for 2021. You may see someone from our office in your neighborhood gathering data and taking updated photographs of your property. From time to time, we leave door tags requesting property owners contact our office. We hope our presence doesn’t cause suspicion but, in the event it does, our appraisers are required to carry county-issued ID badges and business cards in the field.
If your home falls in one of our reappraisal areas, you might receive a postcard in the mail from our office requesting your participation in an online survey to confirm the physical characteristics of your home. We appreciate your participation in our effort to gather and maintain accurate property data.
