Ada County Seeks Planning and Zoning Commission Volunteer

(Boise, ID) – The Board of Ada County Commissioners is seeking individuals interested in filling an opening on the Ada County Planning and Zoning Commission. This is a volunteer position that carries a three (3) year term. Qualified applicants must live in unincorporated Ada County, outside of city limits and outside of any city areas of impact throughout their term, and must have lived in Ada County for at least two (2) years. This position will remain open until filled.

The Ada County Planning and Zoning Commission meets once to twice per month on Thursday evenings. The primary duty of the seven (7) member Ada County Planning and Zoning Commission is to ensure development within Ada County conforms to the county’s planning and zoning ordinances.

Individuals interested in serving on this board are asked to fill out a Planning & Zoning Commission Volunteer Board Application. The application is available at the Ada County Commissioners’ Office, located on the third floor of the Ada County Courthouse at 200 W. Front Street, Boise, 83702. An application may also be downloaded from the Commissioners’ website at www.adacounty.id.gov/commissioners via the Volunteer Boards & Committees link.
