Ada County FY21 Budget Presentations and Deliberations Begin

Ada County’s Budget Process begins Monday and continues through June 12th. During the week the Ada County Board of Commissioners will hear budget presentations from each of the Elected Offices (Sheriff’s Office, Clerk’s Office, Coroner’s Office, Prosecutor’s Office, Treasurer’s Office, Assessor’s Office) as well as the eleven Ada County Departments.

How can I be best prepared to contribute my comments?
We encourage you to watch the budget process on the Ada County YouTube channel beginning Monday June 8th. To better understand what services and programs counties are required to provide please make sure to check out the existing budget using the interactive Ada County Clerk’s “Budget Explorer”. https://adacounty.id.gov/clerk/budget-finance/budget-explorer/

What happens after the Budget Deliberation Process?
Ada County Clerk Phil McGrane will present the tentative budget to the Ada County Board of Commissioners and the public on July 20, 2020, at 6 p.m. The tentative budget will be adopted on July 28th and the final budget will be adopted on August 11, 2020
