A resolution signed by the Ada County Board of Commissioners bans all fireworks in Unincorporated Ada County during the current fire season. The move is an effort to protect lives and property in an area that constitutes a severe fire threat.
Western Idaho Fair’s Advisory Board along with the Board of Ada County Commissioners announced that the 2020 Western Idaho Fair has been canceled. Western Idaho Fair will be continuing the 4-H and FFA youth exhibits, competitions and sales in 2020. This allows all youth participants in those programs to complete their projects and sell their animals as planned.
The Board of Ada County Commissioners begins deliberations this week (June 15th) on the Ada County FY21 budget. The Board heard presentations last week from all of the Ada County Offices and Departments on their accomplishments and budget requests.
Ada County’s Budget Process begins Monday and continues through June 12th. During the week the Ada County Board of Commissioners will hear budget presentations from each of the Elected Offices (Sheriff’s Office, Clerk’s Office, Coroner’s Office, Prosecutor’s Office, Treasurer’s Office, Assessor’s Office) as well as the eleven Ada County Departments.

Beginning May 5, 2020, people who have an electronic court hearing in Ada County may appear in court by using the computers at Expo Idaho.
People who use the computers need to be healthy and they need to wear a face mask.
If you can appear remotely from your residence using a smartphone or a computer, please do so. We want to encourage people to stay home if possible.

From food establishments to hair salons, CDH’s resources include a checklist to plan your re-opening safely and effectively.
Idaho Governor Brad Little announced a 4 step plan for re-opening Idaho businesses that were closed or required to limit service as part of the stay-at-home order issued March 25th. Each stage for re-opening requires an assessment before moving to the next stage.
Ada County Commissioners signed a proclamation Tuesday, April 21, 2020, in their Open Business Meeting (conducted virtually) designating April 19-25 as Crime Victims Awareness Week.
