Mosquitoes collected in additional Ada County traps tested positive for West Nile virus (WNV), this week. The mosquitoes were trapped at the following times and locations:
Tuesday, August 17:
- near the following Boise Parks and Recreation locations: Julia Davis Park, Parkcenter Park, Marianne Williams Park, and Bowler Park.
- near Bown Crossing
- near North Palmer Lane and West Nordic Drive in Eagle
Wednesday, August 18:
- near Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve
Thursday, August 19:
- near intersection of West 4th Street and North Ash Ave in Kuna
- near intersection of East Corriente Lane and South Kuna-Meridian Road in Kuna
- near intersection of Rhine Avenue and Ribier Drive in Meridian
- near intersection of South Mohican Avenue and West Mediterranean Court in Boise
- near intersection of West Tenmile Creek Road and South Cole Road in Kuna
Friday, August 20:
- near intersection of West Gillette Drive and West Dover Drive in Meridian
- near intersection of Ravenswood Drive and Autumn Way in Meridian
This post will be updated with any new WNV pool discoveries throughout the week.
The areas surrounding the detection sites will be treated within a one-mile radius to knock down adult mosquito populations and prevent human cases of WNV.
