Deputies are looking for man who exposed himself to a woman on the Greenbelt near Idaho 21 last week

Deputies are looking for a man who was last seen wearing nothing but a backpack when he approached a woman near the Greenbelt in east Boise on May 18 and began following her.

The woman told deputies she was walking on a dirt path off the side of the Greenbelt just west of the Idaho 21 bridge with her husband and child shortly after 2 p.m. on May 18 when she got a little bit ahead of them.

When the woman got close to a small beach area near the Boise River a naked man suddenly walked out of some nearby bushes. He was only wearing a small neon green and orange backpack.

The man said he didn’t mean to startle the woman and began following her down the path. The woman yelled for her husband and the naked man immediately ran away.

She described him as being in his 20s or 30s, being good shape and having dark hair, with a mustache and beard.

The woman also told deputies there were two other women nearby who were sunbathing by the beach area and she was pretty sure the man was hiding in the bushes and watching them when she walked by.

Those two women told deputies they saw the naked man earlier but were not worried since they had four dogs with them at the time.

Deputies searched the area but were not able to find the naked man.

Deputies would like to talk to anyone who has information and also warn people who might be around the same area of the Boise River this weekend, which is expected to be unseasonably warm.

Anyone with information should call Ada County dispatch at (208) 377-6790.
