Boise man arrested for soliciting sex from teen online in September now charged with sexual battery and transfer of HIV; detectives suspect there could be other victims

A 34-year-old Boise man arrested in September during an internet sting operation is now charged with multiple felonies for having illegal sexual contact with a 16-year-old earlier this year — and not telling the boy he was HIV positive.

Detectives charged 34-year-old Alexander M. Louie Thursday with three felony counts of sexual battery and three felony counts of transferring body fluids containing the HIV virus.

Louie had been in custody since Sept. 19 when he was charged with felony counts of sexual exploitation of a child and enticement of a child through the internet.

Detectives arrested Louie that day after he arranged to meet 15-year-old boy for sex after exchanging messages using online messaging apps — but found deputies waiting for him instead at the arranged meeting place near a local high school.

Louie sent naked photos to the “boy” during their internet chat and said he was going to videotape their encounter.

It was during the enticement investigation that detectives found evidence of other victims, including a 16-year-old boy they determined met with Louie and had illegal sexual contact with him three times in September.

Detectives found evidence Louie met that victim through internet messaging apps.

They also established Louie stopped taking his HIV medication on purpose before that encounter.

Detectives suspect there could multiple additional victims and would like to contact them if possible.
