Detectives arrested a 51-year-old Nampa man Thursday for having illegal sexual contact with child under the age of 16.
Kuna Police charged Cory R. Gaylor Thursday with felony counts of lewd conduct and enticing a child through the use of the internet.
The 51-year-old Gaylor is being held in the Ada County Jail. He is set to make his first court appearance Friday.
Detectives began their investigation late Wednesday after getting information from a third party Gaylor had illegal sexual contact with the teenager last weekend.
Detectives put a safety plan in place immediately and began their investigation.
They developed evidence Gaylor used texting to entice the teen into sex over the last several weeks, which led to the enticement charge.
By Thursday morning, detectives gathered enough evidence to arrest Gaylor.
The crime of lewd conduct is punishable by up to life in prison.
