Detectives are working to determine if a 47-year-old Kuna man who had illegal sexual contact with a pre-teenage girl multiple times since last spring could have any other victims.
Garrett C. Mallery is charged with a felony count of lewd conduct. Ada County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mallery at his Kuna-area home Tuesday afternoon.
Mallery is being held in the Ada County Jail and is set to make his initial court appearance Wednesday.
Kuna Police began their investigation on Dec. 14 after being contacted by a relative of the girl, who told them they just found out Mallery had illegal sexual contact with her on several occasions since April at a Kuna-area home, which functions as a in-home day care, in the Linder/ Deer Flat roads neighborhood.
Detectives put a safety plan in place immediately and began their investigation, which included interviewing several people.
By Tuesday, detectives gathered enough evidence to find and arrest Mallery.
The crime of lewd conduct is punishable by up to life in prison.
