The Board of Ada County Commissioners begins deliberations this week (June 15th) on the Ada County FY21 budget. The Board heard presentations last week from all of the Ada County Offices and Departments on their accomplishments and budget requests.

Ada County FY21 Budget Presentations and Deliberations Begin
Ada County’s Budget Process begins Monday and continues through June 12th. During the week the Ada County Board of Commissioners will hear budget presentations from each of the Elected Offices (Sheriff’s Office, Clerk’s Office, Coroner’s Office, Prosecutor’s Office, Treasurer’s Office, Assessor’s Office) as well as the eleven Ada County Departments.

Ada County to Follow Governor’s 4-Stage Guidelines for Re-Opening

In the weeks and months ahead Ada County will follow the guidance of state and local public health officials to ensure that our staged re-opening is done safely and effectively, and is based on the latest data available.
Expo Idaho – Remote Court Access for Ada County Courthouse
Beginning May 5, 2020, people who have an electronic court hearing in Ada County may appear in court by using the computers at Expo Idaho.
People who use the computers need to be healthy and they need to wear a face mask.
If you can appear remotely from your residence using a smartphone or a computer, please do so. We want to encourage people to stay home if possible.

Re-Opening Idaho – Governor’s Timelines and Protocols
Idaho Governor Brad Little announced a 4 step plan for re-opening Idaho businesses that were closed or required to limit service as part of the stay-at-home order issued March 25th. Each stage for re-opening requires an assessment before moving to the next stage.
Crime Victims Awareness Week
Ada County Commissioners signed a proclamation Tuesday, April 21, 2020, in their Open Business Meeting (conducted virtually) designating April 19-25 as Crime Victims Awareness Week. Thank you to FACES of Hope Victim Center, and numerous county support staff for helping individuals and families through challenging times. Your work is critically important.
Report Reveals Housing First Model Saving Taxpayer Dollars and Lives
Our Path Home, the public-private partnership working to end homelessness in Ada County, in partnership with the Idaho Policy Institute, released the first New Path Community Housing 2019 Annual Evaluation. The Evaluation highlights the collective community benefit of the Housing First model, which provides housing to individuals experiencing homelessness alongside supportive services.
