The following is what you can expect when you renew your Concealed Weapons Permit:
- You will need to fill out the Concealed Weapons Application PDF. Mail-in the completed application to Ada County Driver’s License Office 400 N Benjamin Ln #101 Boise, Idaho 83704.
- Renewal application fee of $37.85 is due at the time of application. Please make checks out to Ada County Sheriff’s Office.
- Background check takes approximately 30 days.
- We will contact you by mail to let you know if you have been approved or denied.
- You will be required to appear in person so that we can take your photo.
- If you prefer to drop off your application in person you will need to make an appointment. Please use the appointment calendar to schedule an appointment. When you get to the calendar, please select the “Concealed Weapons & SOR” to find an open appointment time.
*Please note that if your Concealed Weapons Permit has expired for more than 90 days at the time of your renewal application, there will be an additional late fee charge of $10.00. If expired over 6 months you will have to start all over. **
