Ryan Davidson
District 1 Commissioner

Ryan Davidson was elected to a 4-year term on the Ada County Board of Commissioners in November 2020. He is currently running for re-election in November 2024 after a successful campaign in the May Primary.

Davidson has been an elected Republican Party Precinct Committeeman since 2004, and has served in a variety of roles within the party, including State Youth Committeeperson, District 16 Vice Chair, and State Resolutions Chairman. In 2018 he was elected as the Ada County Republican Chairman. In March of 2020, he presided over the Central Committee meeting to select a new commissioner to fill the vacancy left by the early retirement of Commissioner Rick Visser.

Davidson was inspired to run for Commissioner because of his support for lowering taxes, reducing regulations, promoting government transparency, and protecting peoples’ Constitutional rights. In the first year of his term, the Board implemented a historic $12 million dollar property tax cut.

Davidson was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Boise with his mother, father, and two younger sisters in 1995. His parents now reside in Nampa and his sisters currently reside in Hawaii. Ryan lives in Garden City.
