Property Assessment Appeals

Ada County Commissioners

Before submitting a property assessment appeal, please attempt to settle the dispute by calling the Assessor’s office at 208 287-7200, or by calling your appraiser directly at the number listed on your Assessment Notice. Many disputes can be settled without going through the appeal process by working with your appraiser. If you are still unable to reach an agreement, complete the assessment appeal form located below. The form must be received or postmarked no later than 5:00 p.m. on the date indicated on the assessment notice. We encourage you to file your appeal form as soon as you determine you wish to appeal, as opposed to waiting until the last day to file. Please keep in mind that if you wait until the last day, you will likely have to stand in line while your appeal is processed.

Note: No late assessment appeal forms will be accepted. For questions regarding property assessment appeals in Ada County, please contact the Assessor’s office at 208 287-7200. You may download the attached application and return it by email to the Board of Ada County Commissioners at [email protected]; mail or deliver it to the Commissioners’ office at 200 West Front Street, 3rd Floor, Boise, Idaho, 83702; or you may fax the completed application to 208 287-7009. If you wait until the last day to file, please be aware your fax may not reach us by the 5:00 p.m. deadline, as a high number of appeals are submitted on that day.

Please note, ONLY the Property Owner may file an Assessment Appeal.
