5th Annual Kid's Duathlon
It's FREE and It's FUN

(Boise, ID) – Ada County and Avimor are hosting a FREE Kids Duathlon Saturday, September 29th at Avimor’s Heritage Foothills Community Park in celebration of National Community Planning Month!

The entire Treasure Valley is encouraged to celebrate the important role community planning plays in creating livable and vibrant communities.  

This year’s even includes:

  • FREE Kids Run/Bike Duathlon.  Races start at 9:30 a.m. (age groups: 3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-12) 
  • FREE T-Shirts for all participants
  • Race distances are age specific
  • Medals for boys and girls in each age group. Top 3 finishers in each age group receive additional recognition
  • Healthy snacks provided by St. Luke’s and Clif Bars
  • Craft Station and Games
  • Raffle prizes
  • Food Vendors
  • On-Site Vendors include: The Home Depot, Ada County Paramedics, Ada County Sheriff, Safe Routes to Schools, ACHD CommuterRide, Eagle Parks & Rec, Discovery Center.
  • Sponsors include: St. Luke’s, Pro Build, Reed Cycle, Shu’s Idaho Running Co., Planet Kid, Dutch Bros, Boise Hawks, Boise State Football, Republic Services, Western Idaho Fair, The Flicks, Boise Contemporary Theater, Ada County Commissioners, Avimor, and Ada County Development Services.

Participants must provide their own bike and helmets! We will be enforcing the Helmet Safety Rule; anytime a participant is riding their bicycle, a helmet must be properly worn.
