Ada County Opioid Crisis Resource Page

Ada County Problem Solving Courts, along with their partners; Veterans Administration, Ada County Paramedics, Ten Mile Christian Church and the Idaho Department of Correction are dedicated to fighting the opioid epidemic that has taken hold of our community.

A four part educational series will be happening throughout the year. The first event was January 25th and the next event will be April 19, 2018. More details to come.

Overdose is extremely life threatening. Call 911 immediately. Do not waste time trying to shower or clean up. Know how to conduct CPR until first responders arrive.

Always discard unused medications safely. Do not throw pain patches in the trash. Discard them as you would medications and used syringes. Click here for Drug Take Back Information

Never leave someone who has had an overdose alone. Most deaths occur 1 to 3 hours after an overdose.

Reviving an overdose victim is only a first step. The victim must receive emergency medical treatment and then also seek longer-term treatment for substance use.

Naloxone, Narcan or Evzio, opiate overdose reversal medication can be obtained from a doctor or pharmacist. For more details on these prescriptions click HERE.
