Documents and Fees Required for service

All Services Require a Letter of Instruction and Advance Fees
Debit/Credit Cards are NOT accepted, however an ATM is available.
Court issued Writ of Restitution and 3 copies
Fees:
- $315 made payable to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office for the service of the writ and removal of tenants.
- If occupants vacate on their own then $200 will be returned to you. Please click here for further information on Writs of Restitution.
- Court issued Writ of Continuing Garnishment and 3 copies
- Envelope addressed to each judgment debtor at last known address

Fees:
- $55 made payable to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office. Add $40 for each additional service.
- If you are garnishing wages of an Idaho State employee, a separate check for $10.00 made payable to the Idaho State Controller is required.
- If you are garnishing wages of a Boise State University employee, a separate check for $10.00 made payable to Boise State University is required.
- If you are garnishing funds through the Department of Insurance, a separate check for $30.00 made payable to the Department of Insurance is required.
- Court issued Writ of Execution and 3 copies
- Envelope addressed to each judgment debtor at last known address

- $55 made payable to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office. Add $40 for each additional service.
- A separate check for $7.00 made payable to the financial institution is required. Include a separate $7.00 check for each additional financial institution being served.

- A separate check for $10.00 made payable to the Idaho State Controller is required for each defendant/judgment debtor.

Fees:
- Check made payable to Ada County Sheriff’s Office: starts at $165 which includes our service fee but additional costs will be dependent on items being levied on which could include towing/storage, etc. An average vehicle levy would require approximately $1,100 paid in advance. - $55 made payable to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office if service is for a cash demand or till tap.
Provide the following for each party you are requesting to be served:
- 1 complete packet of all documents that will be served. (This is a general requirement, you will need to seek legal counsel if you are unsure what is needed for specifics on your case or situation.)
- Plus one additional copy of your court filed summons, order, subpoena or notice that we are serving. We do not need additional copies of your supporting documents , such as motions, petitions, claims, etc..
Fees:
- $55 made payable to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office for each party being served OR for each service packet. Include an additional $40 for each additional service address per service packet.

- Order for foreclosure or for sale (if applicable)
- Notice of Levy (electronic copy only)
- Judgment
- Notice of Sale (electronic copy only)
- Documents required to be provided after the sale of the following (electronic copies only):

- Sheriff’s Return
- Sheriff’s Deed
Fees:
- $800-$1000 made payable to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office for sheriff’s fees and standard publication fees. Price varies depending on publication costs. Please call our office for further information 208-577-3750.
