Star Police are investigating the death of a man who was found near Hunter’s Creek Sports Park off N. Star Road early Sunday.
A citizen spotted the man just after 9 a.m. Sunday morning and called 911. Star Police responded immediately. It appears the man was shot. He was declared dead at the scene.
Investigators closed off the area and began searching the area for evidence for what happened.
It is unclear how long the man was deceased at the scene. Investigators have identified the man, who was in his late 40s, and are pursuing multiple leads.
The initial investigation of the circumstances of the man’s death appear suspicious; however, there does not appear to be any immediate threat to the public.Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Ada County Dispatch at (208) 377-6790.
