Regardless of your political stance or candidate preference, the events in Pennsylvania today are deeply troubling. I commend the swift response of the Secret Service and local law enforcement in securing the former president and ending the threat.
Political violence has no place in our nation. We are a country that is supposed to be undivided, not divisive. We are a country that stands united – hate and vitriol won’t achieve this.
Tragically, the innocent life of a rally attendee was taken, and others injured. I commend emergency responders for rendering aid quickly. Our hearts and condolences go out to the victims and their families.
I am also grateful to hear former President Donald Trump is reportedly in stable condition. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, and I wish him a swift recovery.
