Deputies are investigating a fatal car vs motorcycle crash in Kuna

Deputies are investigating what happened that led to a fatal car vs. motorcycle crash on Deer Flat Road in Kuna Monday night.

The 43-year-old Kuna man driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead at a local hospital as a result of the crash.

The 16-year-old female driver of the car was not injured in the crash.

Initial information indicates the teenager was driving a car eastbound on Deer Flat Road just before 6:30 p.m. and attempted to do a u-turn at the N. Antelope Flat Avenue (which is just east of Idaho 69) when the car collided with a motorcycle, which was also going eastbound on Deer Flat.

The force of the impact was severe, knocking the motorcycle to the ground and causing severe damage to both vehicles.

Kuna Police and emergency crews arrived and performed first aid on the motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet. They then transported him to a local hospital, where he was declared a short time later.

The crash is still under active investigation. No charges or citations have been issued at this point.
