Critical maintenance to affect 911, non-emergency lines early Friday morning

Earlier this afternoon, we were advised by our 911 provider, Lumen, about critical maintenance that needs to be completed. This will affect our 911 and non-emergency lines.

This urgent maintenance will impact the ability to get through to both 911 and non-emergency lines for approximately 5-10 minutes between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. on August 9, 2024.

We are taking extra precautions and actionable steps to maintain access to 911 during this timeframe.

Our text-to-911 service will be operational. This can be accessed by texting 911 and including the nature of the emergency, the location, and contact information.

If you have an emergency during this timeframe, please use a cell phone instead of a landline or voiceover internet protocol (VOIP) phone.

For landlines or VOIP phones, or if you dial 911 and cannot reach emergency services, please call one of the following numbers: 208-703-7435, 208-703-7861, 208-703-9627, 208-713-6985, 208-488-8727 or 208-703-1022.

These backup lines will be monitored by Ada County 911 dispatchers.

We will post an update as soon as maintenance is complete.
