39-year-old Star man found guilty of first degree stalking

Late last month, an Ada County jury found 39-year-old Daniel Rowen guilty on two counts of felony stalking in the first degree.

Last fall, deputies arrested Rowen in connection with an incident where he followed two young girls under the age of 15 around the Eagle Library. Rowen was also seen via Eagle Library video surveillance following additional females and watching them for extended periods of time. These females were unable to be identified.

This incident was one of several reports Star Police received of Rowen acting strangely around young children.

Rowen remains in custody at the Ada County Jail.

Rowen’s sentencing hearing is set for September 12, 2024 at the Ada County Courthouse. Rowen has another case involving felony stalking charges set for a jury trial in early August.
