An 18-year-old Star man turned himself in at the Gem County Jail Monday after finding out he had an Ada County arrest warrant for multiple sex crimes.
James C. Warren is charged with four felony counts of lewd conduct with a child under the age of 16. He posted a $50,000 bond and was released from the Gem County Jail. An initial court date has not yet been set in Ada County.
Detectives began their investigation in May after being contacted by one of the victims. Detectives developed evidence Warren had illegal sexual contact with four different girls between April 2018 and May of this year.
The incidents all occurred at a home in Star. All of the victims knew who Warren was. None of the crimes were random.
Detectives interviewed all four girls, worked on a safety plan for everyone involved, and sent their report to Ada County Prosecutors, who issued an arrest warrant for Warren on June 18.
The crime of lewd conduct is punishable by up to life in prison.
