Deputies are looking for whoever shot and damaged 75 insulators on PacifiCorp electricity transmission lines south of Kuna late last month.
The power lines are located in the desert about five miles south of Kuna/Mora Road, between Pleasant Valley and Swan Falls roads, in southern Ada County.
Officials with PacifiCorp first discovered a problem with the insulators on Nov. 21. The next day, employees sent to repair the power lines found about 75 insulators connected to the power lines were hit by shotgun rounds. Employees also found empty shotgun casings near the power lines.
PacifiCorp is offering a $5,000 reward for anyone who has information that leads to a conviction in the case. The amount and severity of damage to the power lines make this a felony malicious injury to property case.
