On August 26, 2024 at about 10:27am, Kuna Police deputies attempted to stop a stolen vehicle near the area of N. Ten Mile Rd. and W. Ardell Rd. in Kuna. The vehicle failed to yield, and a short pursuit ensued.
Deputies attempted to PIT the vehicle several times. The driver of the vehicle then side swiped a Kuna Police vehicle, causing damage to the bumper and fender.
The pursuit ended approximately a mile and a half away, near W. Escondido St. and N. Steed Pl. in Kuna. The 17-year-old male juvenile driver was taken into custody and booked into the Ada County Juvenile Detention Center for felony Fleeing and Eluding and felony Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
