Judge Jurries was appointed to the bench as a magistrate judge for Ada County in January 2016. Her docket is comprised of domestic relations cases which includes divorce, paternity, child custody and child support. Judge Jurries is also assigned to civil protection order matters, and probate and guardianship cases.
Prior to her appointment to the bench, Judge Jurries worked as a solo practitioner in family law, family mediation, and criminal law. Judge Jurries also has experience as a county and city prosecutor and conflicts public defender.
Judge Jurries earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Seattle Pacific University and her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law.
