Judge Ransom Bailey began serving as a Magistrate Judge in January 2018 and presides over a family law calendar. Prior to that he served as a Juvenile Court Judge for Ada County, and handled a civil and criminal magistrate calendar. Judge Bailey received a B.A. from Whitman College in 1994 and a J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2001.
