Fee Waivers

If the judge assigned to your case decides you are truly unable to afford court fees for filing paperwork, the law allows for a fee waiver. This is often called filing “in forma pauperis.” You must file forms to ask the court for an order waiving your filing fees. Below, you will find step by step instructions to ask for a fee waiver, along with links to the necessary Motion and Affidavit for Fee Waiver paperwork you need, as well as an Order for Fee Waiver that you must prepare for the judge to sign.
