Ada County Paramedics Peer Support Team

Our Mission

The Ada County Paramedics Peer Support Team is dedicated to promoting our EMS family’s mental and emotional well-being. Rooted in a commitment to compassion, confidentiality, and camaraderie, our mission is to create a supportive environment where First responders can openly discuss the unique challenges they face in their roles.

Guided by the principles of trust and understanding, our team strives to foster a culture that values mental health and encourages proactive self-care. Through empathetic listening, shared experiences, and mutual support, we aim to diminish the stigma surrounding mental health issues within our organization and the broader EMS community.

Our mission extends beyond crisis intervention to encompass ongoing education, training, and awareness initiatives that empower Ada County personnel with the tools to build resilience and prioritize their mental health. By creating a close-knit community, we seek to enhance the overall well-being of Ada County’s first responders and contribute to a resilient emergency medical services system.

In pursuing our mission, we uphold the values of empathy, solidarity, and integrity, recognizing that the mental health of our first responder colleagues is integral to the effectiveness and sustainability of our shared commitment to providing exceptional care to the communities we serve.
