About Us

The Bridge Youth and Family Resource Center works to keep youth out of the juvenile justice and child welfare systems by connecting families with supportive services in the community. Through in-depth assessment and evidence-based screening tools, center staff work with youth and families to understand factors contributing to concerning behaviors. An individualized case plan then connects them to resources and services to create a safe, healthy and hopeful future.

Some of the challenges we address include:
  • mental health concerns
  • alcohol & drug use
  • anger or defiance
  • running away from home
  • self-harming behaviors
  • anxiety and depression
  • skipping school

We follow the National Assessment Center Association‘s (NAC) framework based on research and best practice to guide our operations. Resource centers have been proven to save law enforcement time, increase coordination among agencies working with youth, and speed up the process of getting help for kids and families.
