On August 14, 2015, Ada County Deputy Prosecutor Galen Carlson received the Governor's Task Force on Children at Risk Prosecutor's Award of Excellence. This award honors extraordinary prosecutors who have done an outstanding job and have gone beyond the call of duty to advance the cause of protecting children from abuse or neglect.
Galen has been an Ada County Deputy Prosecutor for eight years and has been handling the child protection docket since 2008. Ada County Prosecuting Attorney Jan M. Bennetts said: “I could not be more proud of Galen for her dedicated and outstanding service to the people of Ada County. She passionately safeguards children and protects them from abuse and neglect. Galen is very deserving of this award.”
