Coroner Owens has identified Rigoberto Alvarenca-Coello, age 16, of Middleton, Idaho, as the drowning victim in the Boise River near Main Street and Star Road, in Star, Idaho, July 30.
The cause of death was drowning. The manner of death was accidental.
According to reports, the victim was swimming with friends on July 29, when he was noticed to be missing. A 911 call was made to report him missing on that same date. The victim was found by the Ada County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team on July 30.
The case is under investigation by the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.
