CORONER IDENTIFIES MELBA WOMAN IN MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION

NAME: Marcie Rivas
DATE AND TIME OF PRONOUNCED DEATH: 04/21/2024 @ 12:50 p.m.
AGE: 43 years
BIOLOGICAL SEX: Female
PLACE OF DEATH: Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center; Boise, ID
RESIDENCE: Melba, Idaho
CAUSE OF DEATH: Multiple blunt force injuries
MANNER OF DEATH: Accident
SUMMARY:  The Ada County Coroner’s Office has identified 43-year-old Marcie Rivas of Melba, Idaho, who was transported by air ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho, after sustaining injuries in a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Southside Blvd. and Melmont Rd. in Melba, Idaho, on 04/20/24.  Marcie Rivas was a passenger in one of the vehicles.  Life saving measures were unsuccessful and Marcie Rivas was pronounced dead in the ICU.  Further information pending investigation.

The investigation is being conducted by Idaho State Police.
