CORONER IDENTIFIES MOTORCYCLIST THAT COLLIDED WITH VEHICLE IN STAR

DATE AND TIME OF PRONOUNCED DEATH: 04/08/2024 @ 08:04 p.m.
AGE: 56 years
BIOLOGICAL SEX: Male
PLACE OF DEATH: Near intersection of N. Knox St. and W. State St.; Star, ID
RESIDENCE: Star, Idaho
CAUSE OF DEATH: Traumatic blunt force injuries
MANNER OF DEATH: Accident
SUMMARY:  At approximately 07:19 p.m. on 04/08/2024, the Ada County Coroner’s Office was dispatched to the intersection of N. Knox St. and W. State St. in Star, Idaho. 56-year-old George Simitzes of Star, Idaho, was pronounced dead at the scene after lifesaving measures were unsuccessful.  George Simitzes was the sole driver/occupant of a motorcycle that collided with another vehicle.  Further information pending investigation.

The investigation is being conducted by Ada County Sheriff’s Office.
