CORONER IDENTIFIES EAGLE MAN WHO DROWN IN BOISE RIVER

AGE: 69 years
BIOLOGICAL SEX: Male
PLACE OF DEATH: Boise River, near 2200 block of W. Duck Alley Rd.; Eagle, ID
RESIDENCE: Eagle, Idaho
CAUSE OF DEATH: Drowning
MANNER OF DEATH: Accident
SUMMARY:  At approximately 04:02 p.m. 10/09/2023, the Ada County Coroner’s Office was dispatched to the 2200 block of W. Duck Alley Rd. in Eagle, Idaho. 69-year-old James Laughlin of Eagle, Idaho, was pronounced dead at the scene after being submerged in the Boise River while kayaking.

The investigation is being conducted by Ada County Sheriff’s Office.
