Lyle Croson, 34, and Mykle Blumenshine, 28, of Boise, were charged with Aiding and Abetting Second Degree Murder today for the October 20, 2016, murder of Paul Russell, 30, in Garden City, Idaho. Elena Pena, 27, had previously been arrested and charged with Aiding and Abetting Aggravated Battery. Her charge will be amended to Aiding and Abetting Second Degree Murder on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. during her preliminary hearing.
Garden City Police arrested Croson and Pena together on October 21, 2016, at a gas station in Boise. Croson was served with a warrant for parole violations and has remained in custody at the Ada County Jail. Pena has also remained in custody on a 500,000 dollar bond. Blumenshine was arrested by Garden City Police for parole violations on Sunday, October 30, 2016 and is in custody at the Ada County Jail. Blumenshine and Croson will be arraigned on the newly filed charges tomorrow, November 4, 2016, at 1:30 p.m.
All three defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
