Bruce Marchant has been arraigned in a New York Courtroom on the Governor’s Warrant from Idaho. Mr. Marchant is being held without bond on the Governor’s Warrant for charges related to the Murder, Kidnapping, and Rape of Sierra Bush.
Because Mr. Marchant has now been arraigned on the Governor’s Warrant, the hearing scheduled in New York for March 8 has been canceled. Mr. Marchant is next due in court in New York on March 24, at which time the court will determine whether or not there is sufficient evidence to establish Mr. Marchant’s identity as the subject of the Governor’s Warrant.
Mr. Marchant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
