California man sentenced to serve up to life in prison for 2014 rape

BOISE – On Tuesday, 58-year-old Reginald Burley was sentenced to serve 30-years fixed and up to
life in prison for a rape that occurred nearly six years ago in Boise.

Reginald Burley, who was 53 at the time of the crime, was indicted by a grand jury for rape and
first-degree kidnapping shortly after the crimes were reported in November 2014.

Boise woman sentenced to prison for elder abuse and exploitation

BOISE – Sherri Watring, 53, was sentenced Friday to 1.5 years in prison for elder abuse.

In December 2019, a jury found Ms. Watring guilty on two felony counts – abuse and neglect of a vulnerable adult under circumstances likely to produce great bodily harm and exploitation of a vulnerable adult in excess of $1,000, as well as a misdemeanor petit theft charge.

Eagle man sentenced in sexual assault case

BOISE – Cory Campbell, of Eagle, was sentenced Friday to up to 40 years in prison for battery with the intent to commit rape.

In March 2019, Mr. Campbell, who was 17 at the time of his arrest, was charged with felony sex crimes including rape and forcible sexual penetration by use of a foreign object.

Boise man sentenced to prison for triple shooting

BOISE – A 21-year-old man who shot and killed a Boise woman and injured two others last year was sentenced Friday to prison.

Anthony Alcala, of Boise, was arrested and charged in April 2019 for second-degree murder with an enhancement for using a deadly weapon and two counts of aggravated battery.
