RE: | State v. Danny Krueger Guilty Plea |
BOISE – On Thursday, 47-year-old Danny Krueger pleaded guilty to aggravated battery and using a deadly weapon in the commission of a crime.
The charges stem from a stabbing in Boise in July 2019. Mr. Krueger was arrested after he broke into the house of a person known to him, waited until two people arrived at the residence and then repeatedly stabbed a male victim at the house. The victim survived, but sustained life-threatening injuries from the attack.
Mr. Krueger admitted to felony aggravated battery with an enhancement for using a deadly weapon in the commission of a crime. A second enhancement and burglary charge were dismissed by prosecutors as part of the plea deal.
His sentencing is set for 3 p.m., May 28, 2020 before Ada County District Judge Lynn G. Norton.
Idaho statute allows a maximum penalty of up to 30 years imprisonment; 15 years maximum for aggravated battery and 15 years maximum for the enhancement.
