RE: State v. Craig R. Falk – Sentencing

BOISE – Craig R. Falk, 65, will serve up to 20 years in prison for an attack on a woman at her Hidden Springs house.

Mr. Falk was arrested Nov. 29, 2019 when he entered the garage of his brother’s ex-wife and attacked her, leaving the victim with serious injuries. He was apprehended by law enforcement shortly after the attack and arrested and charged with felony aggravated battery with an enhancement for using a deadly weapon and burglary for entering the garage and intending to batter the victim.

Mr. Falk pleaded guilty to both felony charges in June 2020.

On Thursday, Ada County District Judge Jason Scott sentenced Mr. Falk to serve 20 years with 11 years fixed before being eligible for parole. Judge Scott also ordered the defendant to have no contact with the victim for 40 years.

“I’d like to acknowledge the victim’s bravery and say thank you to the concerned neighbors who contacted law enforcement and assisted the victim until authorities arrived,” said Jan M. Bennetts, Ada County Prosecutor. “The Ada County Sheriff’s Office was instrumental in helping my office ensure justice was served in this case.”
