Coroner Owens has identified the victim of the single motorcycle accident that occurred on July 11, 2018, near the Broadway Exit, eastbound on I-84, as Gary M. Rupert, age 52, of Meridian Idaho. The cause of death was blunt force trauma. The manner of death was accident. According to reports, the victim was not wearing a helmet when the accident occurred. Toxicology is pending and results may take several weeks to return.
The investigation is being conducted by the Idaho State Police.
