CORONER IDENTIFIES CALDWELL MAN IN CANYON COUNTY COLLISION

DATE AND TIME OF PRONOUNCED DEATH: 08/31/2024 @ 06:30 p.m.
AGE: 65 years
BIOLOGICAL SEX: Male
PLACE OF DEATH: Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center; Boise, ID
RESIDENCE: Caldwell, Idaho
CAUSE OF DEATH: Blunt force injuries
MANNER OF DEATH: Accident
SUMMARY:  At approximately 07:00 p.m. on 08/31/2024, the Ada County Coroner’s Office was dispatched to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. 65-year-old Dale Johnston of Caldwell, Idaho, was pronounced dead in the ICU after lifesaving measures were unsuccessful following injuries sustained in a two-vehicle collision on 08/21/2024 on Riverside Rd. in Canyon County.   Dale Johnston was the driver and sole occupant of a vehicle that collided with a Peterbilt truck.  Further information pending investigation.

The investigation is being conducted by Idaho State Police.
