On July 24th, Ada County Chief Deputy Coroner Brett Harding was presented with the honor of the Medicolegal Death Investigator of the Year award at the 2024 International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners (IACME) symposium in Las Vegas. With 30 years of dedication to his field, Chief Deputy Harding began his career in District 21 in Florida before moving to District 5. From there, Chief Deputy Harding then progressed to the Clark County Coroner’s Office in Las Vegas, and finally landed himself in Ada County, serving as Chief Deputy since 2021. Across his long-standing career, he has dutifully served on numerous boards and committees and has been considerably instrumental in advancing and promoting the field of medicolegal death investigations.
