Out of County Alternatives (Ada County Cases)
One-time program fee $25
  • Fee reductions will be reevaluated every 6 weeks while a participant is active in Alternative Sentencing
  • Refunds are issued if Sheriff’s Community Service hours are completed earlier than scheduled
  • Participants that meet the electronic monitoring requirements will have to pay associated monitoring fees directly to the vendor
  • Participants may also be required to submit to urine analysis tests and be responsible for associated testing fees
  • Fees must be paid prior to starting the program
  • Jail time is billed at $25 per day with a maximum of $500 per stay as per I.C. § 20-607
  • Jail time for non-Ada County cases cost $91 a day and must be paid before serving time in the Ada County Jail

Program Sliding Fee Scale Information

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office currently offers the opportunity to qualify for a reduced fee for the Community Transition Program and House Arrest Program. If you are participating in either of these programs and would like to request a reduction in fees, please click on the following link to complete the Program Sliding Fee Scale Request form.

  • Last two pay stubs
  • Social Security letter
  • Last year’s taxes
  • Letter of termination/job loss
  • Unemployment approval
  • Dept. of Veterans Affairs income verification
  • W2
  • DoD earnings statement
  • Documentation for dependents – garnishments, child support, etc.
  • Subsidized housing approval

You can bring a copy of one of the above forms of documentation to the Alternative Sentencing front desk or email Alternative Sentencing’s account clerk no later than five business days prior to your start date for evaluation.
