Eagle teenager charged with five counts of sexual assault

Ada County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 17-year-old male late last month in connection with five separate cases of the sexual assault of teenage girls.

Cory R. Campbell is charged as an adult with four felony counts of rape and one felony count of forcible penetration.

Detectives began their investigation in March after being contacted by a third party. As they investigated the case, detectives found evidence Campbell forced himself on at least five different teenage girls and had illegal sexual contact with them between September and March.

Most of the assaults occurred at homes or in a truck in the Eagle/North Ada County area neighborhood. All the victims knew who Campbell was. None of the crimes were random.

Detectives interviewed all five victims, worked on a safety plan for everyone involved, and continued to gather evidence on the case.

Detectives sent the case information to Ada County prosecutors, who charged Campbell as an adult and issued an arrest warrant for him May 30.

Each of the five charges has a $250,000 bond. Campbell is being held in the Ada County Juvenile Detention Center.

Detectives suspect Campbell may have additional victims and would like anyone who has information to call detective Cherie Tucker at ‪(208) 577-3744 or send an email to [email protected]
