Eagle police cite 40-year-old massage therapist for battery

Eagle police have charged a 40-year-old massage therapist with misdemeanor battery for an incident in March where he groped a female client during an appointment.

Detectives want to check with previous clients to make sure Aaron Lee Sundgaard hasn’t illegally fondled any other of his massage customers.

Sundgaard told Eagle Police he has been a massage therapist for the last 14 years. Sundgaard has worked at least three other businesses before joining an Eagle-area spa in December 2014.

Eagle police began their investigation on March 2 – the day after the incident took place.

The victim told Eagle Police Sundgaard he groped her against her will during a massage session and made several sexually explicit remarks.

Prosecutors cited Sundgaard on a misdemeanor battery charge in April. He has a court date set for June 8. The crime of misdemeanor battery is punishable by up to six months in jail or a $1,000 fine.

Sundgaard no longer works at the spa where the battery occurred.

Eagle police would like to hear from any of Sundgaard’s former clients who have concerns about his behavior. They should call detectives at 577-3744.
