Deputies would like to hear from anyone with information about the vandalism of the new LDS Temple construction site in the 700 block of N. Linder Road over the weekend.
Someone broke into the construction area between 6 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday and used black spray paint to cover walls with graffiti — including racist symbols and anti-religious messages.
The vandals also emptied tubes of construction adhesive on the walls and floors of the building, causing at least $500 worth of damage.
There have been other reports of theft at the construction site since last year – including a welding unit and an industrial saw.
