56-year-old Twin Falls man charged with lewd conduct

Detectives are working to figure out if a 56-year-old Twin Falls man who had illegal sexual contact with a pre-teen girl when he lived in the Boise area in the early-to-mid 2000s may have other victims.

Michael E. Bosse is charged with four counts of lewd conduct and is being held in the Ada County Jail on a $500,000 bond in connection with the crimes from the early-to-mid 2000s.

The victim in the case is well known to Bosse. The abuse occurred at a Boise area home.

Investigators are concerned there might be other victims after law enforcement officials in Montana found a large amount of child pornography Bosse left in a storage unit in 2015 – including images of his victim in the Ada County lewd conduct case.

Bosse also recently drove a school bus in the Twin Falls area for a brief time in the fall of 2015.

Our detectives began their investigation in March after being contacted by the Cascade County Sheriff’s Office in Montana about the storage unit.

Investigators in Montana eventually identified Bosse the suspect and contacted Idaho authorities. Our detectives continued the investigation, identified the victim from the early-to-mid 2000s,  and sent the findings to Ada County prosecutors, who issued an arrest warrant for Bosse in late April.

ACSO detectives arrested Bosse in Twin Falls on Thursday. Bosse is set to make his initial court appearance Monday afternoon. The crime of lewd conduct is punishable by up to life in prison. Additional charges  could be filed at a later date against Bosse in Twin Falls and Montana.

It appears Bosse left the Boise area in the late 2000s and moved to eastern Idaho and then Montana before coming back to Idaho and moving to the Twin Falls area last year.

Anyone with information on Bosse should call Ada County Sheriff’s detectives at 577-3734.
